Uninsured Services and Annual Fees
OHIP does not cover all services that patients request from physicians. Services that OHIP does not cover are called “uninsured services” and physicians are prohibited from billing OHIP for these services. The list of uninsured services is shown in the charts below. We have made every effort to account for most of the commonly requested services. If the uninsured service you require is not listed, please communicate this to your physician or office staff for further clarification.
The fees are in accordance with the 2026 edition of the Ontario Medical Association (OMA) Physician’s Guide to Uninsured Services. All uninsured services must be paid in full when rendered; office staff will provide a receipt upon settlement of your account. Should you be unable to pay for the uninsured service at the time it is provided, please let the office staff know. We will make every effort possible to assist you.
Annual Fee (November 1, 2026 to October 31, 2027)
Our annual fee is an optional flat fee for a predetermined set of uninsured services. Patients who choose not to participate in the annual fee may pay for uninsured services individually. Your decision to participate in the annual fee program does not affect your access to OHIP-insured services or the quality of care you receive.

Please consider paying online or at the office as this will decrease our administrative burden. You can pay online at northtorontomedicalassociates.square.site. You can also pay with cash or cheque (payable to North Toronto Medical Associates).
